2024 News-Herald boys tennis all-stars
PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
Vishwum Kapadia/Rohit Talasila
University, juniors
For the second straight season and third time since 2014, the top News-Herald honor in boys tennis goes to a University doubles team. This marks a repeat distinction for Talasila, who teamed with Rohan Sethi to be the 2023 News-Herald boys tennis players of the year. This time around, he teams with a fellow junior in Kapadia. On an award based entirely on postseason performance, in a season with six state qualifiers combined between singles and doubles in Division II, Kapadia and Talasila hold the clear tiebreaker: They won a match at the state tournament. The duo was also third in district play and a sectional champion.
