2024 NFL composite power rankings ahead of training camp
With NFL training camps beginning in just a few weeks, we are on in full on power ranking season. So where do the Indianapolis Colts end up on these lists?
Of course, how each analysts veiws every team is going to differ, which is going to change where teams fall in these rankings. For exampe, the Los Angeles Rams fell anywhere from 9th all the way to 17th in these various rankings.
So in an effort to find some sort of consensus, I looked at six recent power rankings from NFL.com, ESPN, PFF, CBS Sports, Sharp Football, and Pro Football Talk, and averaged out each team’s ranking, then using that figure as their official landing spot in this composite power rankings list.
For the Colts, they were ranked between 18 and 22. There’s a lot to like about the team this year and the upside potential they possess.
This is a Colts team that should be quite good along both the offensive and defensive lines. Anthony Richardson is also entering an ideal situation to take a step forward in his second season with the talent around him, along with playing in Shane Steichen’s system.
However, like every team, the Colts have some question marks, particularly in the secondary and around Richardson’s experience, with only 98 career dropbacks.
The opportunity to get back into the playoffs certainly exists but feelings are very much mixed when it comes to the Colts. On one hand, PFF predicted that they would finished under their 8.5 projected win total. SI’s Albert Breer, however, is quite bullish about the Colts and optimistic about their potential.
Now, for what you’re all here for, below you will find the composite power rankings for the Colts and each NFL team, along with their average landing spot on the six power rankings that I utilized to put this list together.
