Infiniant Health discounts its probiotic for infants to boost gut health support
01 Jul 2024 — In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of gut health in infants, Infiniant Health has considerably discounted its signature Evivo probiotic this week. The probiotic comprises the Bifidobacterium strain B. infantis EVC001, which has been proven to deliver significant benefits to full-term infants.
Research shows that over 90% of infants born in the US lack B. infantis in their gut. Emerging research shows that a deficiency of the strain is linked to increased cases of immune-related issues, which have risen in recent generations due to high antibiotic use and changes in feeding and birthing practices.
Bifidobacterium, especially B. infantis, acts as a protective shield, supporting the infant immune system and promoting a healthy gut microbiome. Establishing a healthy gut microbiome during the early stages of life can impact a person’s health later in life.
Protecting the gut microbiome
Evivo is endorsed by pediatricians, lactation consultants and holistic healthcare professionals because it is based on research that has observed good results in babies within days of consumption.
The product leverages human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) found in breast milk, B. infantis EVC001 colonizing the infant’s gut. Unlike other probiotic strains, which do not maintain a lasting presence, Evivo continues to consume HMOs and provides ongoing gut and immune support. Extensive studies demonstrate that breast milk promotes the growth of B. infantis EVC001 in the full-term infant gut.
Clinically proven to work in conjunction with breast milk, Evivo replenishes good bacteria in babies and establishes a healthier gut microbiome. Evivo provides continuous protection from digestive comfort and supports the development of immune systems. A recent consumer study highlighted the benefits of Evivo Baby probiotic powder, with parents reporting significant improvements within days.
Good for full-term infants
Clinical trials observed a 72% reduction in diaper rash, a 63% reduction in gas and fussiness and 52% longer sleep durations. The probiotic is designed for full-term infants and has received the clean label project and the first 1000-day promise certifications.
Evivo consumers can now buy the product for 50% off the regular price with three or more cartons. With the cartons now costing US$50, Infiniant Health aims to extend the reach of this beneficial product to more families.
Meanwhile, Nutrition Insight spoke with suppliers Fonterra, DSM and Lactalis on the latest developments in the infant probiotics space while investigating a noted downward trend in the global baby food market attributed to a dip in birth rates, among other influential macroeconomic trends.
In addition, Chr. Hansen, now under the Novonesis brand, unveiled its Istilos B. infantis probiotic strain for improved gut barrier function in infants and developing a robust immune system.
