Paedophile teacher Rebecca Joynes pictured out shopping on last day of freedom
A paedophile teacher who had a sexual relationship with two boys she met while working at a Greater Manchester school has been spotted shopping at a retail park on her last day of freedom.
Rebecca Joynes was convicted of engaging in sexual activity with the boys after grooming them. She groomed one 15-year-old boy with a trip to the the Trafford Centre, buying him a £345 Gucci belt from Selfridges.
She then fell pregnant with another teenage pupil, who she also began a sexual relationship with when he was 15. The 30-year-old is set to be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday) after being found guilty of six counts of sexual activity with a child, including two counts of sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust.

Today (Wednesday), the 30-year-old was pictured spending her final moments of freedom at a retail park in Chester, the Mirror reports. She was spotted wearing a baseball cap with a new Balance hoodie.
Joynes was seen getting into a white car which appeared to be stuffed with her belongings. In May, Judge Kate Cornell granted her condition bail ahead of her sentencing but warned her she faces a likely jail sentence.
Joynes, of Pensby Road, Wirral, had already spent almost five months in HMP Styal while pregnant with the child, after the discovery of her crimes against the second boy while she was on court bail for allegations surrounding the first boy. The judge told her as she wept in the dock: “There is a baby involved here who has done nothing wrong – you must be under no illusions on what is going to happen.
“Bail can be granted on the same conditions as before.” During Joynes’ trial, the court heard how she took a 15-year-old boy to the Trafford Centre and bought him a £345 Gucci belt from Selfridges. She then brought him back to her apartment in Salford where they allegedly had sex.
She was later suspended from her post and was later discovered to have fallen pregnant with a second boy, who she first met aged 15 when they allegedly kissed one another. Prosecutors said that the relationship later turned sexual.
She became pregnant and later went on to have his baby, despite Ms Joynes allegedly telling him it was ‘almost impossible’ for her to conceive due to a health issue. He learned she was pregnant ‘to his great shock’ after she gave him a baby grow, the court heard.
After her conviction, Detective Constable Beth Alexander, of GMP’s Child Protection Investigation Unit in Salford, said: “Firstly, I would like to thank the victims and their families for being brave enough to come forward and work with us in our investigation. Rebecca Joynes is a sexual predator.
“She was their teacher and they rightfully put their trust in her. But Joynes decided to abuse her position and used it to groom two teenagers.
“We welcome today’s verdict and now wait for Joynes to face the consequences for her actions. I would like to thank the officers who have worked closely with the victims and their families in establishing the full circumstances of this case, as well as the investigation team for their hard work and dedication during this investigation.
“The two victims and their families have asked for their privacy to be respected now and moving forward – they all wish to carry on with their lives and put this ordeal behind them.”
