Nicola Coughlan makes announcement after rumors she’s leaving Bridgerton

Bridgerton star and Galway native Nicola Coughlan has made an announcement on her Instagram account, amid rumors that she may be leaving the Netflix series.

The actress after being cast in the hit series Derry Girls, but shot to new levels of fame after she assumed the role of Penelope Featherington on Bridgerton. Coughlan stole hearts around the world for her off-screen charisma and do-good attitude amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.




Yesterday, the actress – tipped to be in the running to be the next Bond Girl – announced on her Instagram story that she had partnered with London based designer, Rachel Jackson Jewelry. For the collaboration, Coughlan created a limited edition piece, with 100% of the profits donated to Choose Love – a UK-based organization that provides humanitarian aid and advocacy for refugees and displaced people around the world.

  • On their website, Rachel Jackson Jewelry wrote: “This year’s hugely anticipated annual collaboration for Choose Love has landed and we’re thrilled to reveal that this Summer Rachel has joined forces with style icon and Bridgerton star – Nicola Coughlan.

    Both women have come together to release a limited edition necklace, the 4th in a series of symbolic, purposeful pendants, with 100% of profits donated to the charity.”

    Coughlan has been extremely vocal about the war on Palestine, using her platform to draw attention to the conflict and creating a Palestine Children’s Relief fund that drew donations of over $1.5 million, with stars like Sabrina Carpenter contributing.

    The Derry Girls actress said she was warned she “wouldn’t work again” if she continued to be outspoken about the violence in Gaza but carried on wearing a ceasefire pin in interviews promoting the third season of Bridgerton regardless.

    The necklace is a “daily reminder to choose love”

    The Choose Love necklace is available now on Rachel Jackson Jewelry’s website. It comes in silver and gold, features a pink gem-stone in the center and has Choose Love engraved on the back.
