Bronny James’ grandmother shakes the NBA and gives her opinion on her grandson’s draft, putting an end to the drama

Bronny James has had an eventful week since being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 55th overall pick in the NBA Draft. It was a move many expected, due to the influence of his father and now teammate, LeBron James. The father-son duo will be the first to share an NBA court together as colleagues.

This move hasn’t gone without criticism. The Lakers organization has come under fire for picking the heir to the James throne, with fans citing nepotism as a key factor in the decision. Gloria James reflected on the special moment

Over the years of his life, I’ve watched him grow into the AMAZING young man that he is today. And how proud and how honored I am to be his grandmother.

I’m truly happy that you’re able to live out your dream of one day playing in the NBA.

“I pray that God continues to bless and keep you during this new chapter in your life.”
