Planning permission sought for 50 new homes in county Tipperary village

A planning application seeking permission to build 50 new homes in Ballyclerihan has been submitted to Tipperary County Council.

The application from Carrick-on-Suir based JSF Property Holding Ltd. to develop the houses on a 2.9 hectares site at Knockeevan, Ballyclerihan was submitted to the local authority on June 20.

The planning application seeks permission for the creation of a new entrance junction at the R688 Clonmel Road.
The mix of houses proposed in the estate include eight two-storey three bedroom semi-detached homes, 20 two-storey four bedroom residences and 22 two-storey four bedroom detached dwellings.

The application also requests permission to create 120 car parking spaces and private, communal and public landscaped amenity spaces.

Also included in the application is a request for permission to construct internal estate roads, pedestrian pavements, inter-site boundary walls and fences, new perimeter boundary walls and fencing, the undergrounding of existing overheard electricity supply cables, public lighting, drainage and water services connections.

The application also requests permission to replace the existing defective storm water attenuation tank and pipework serving the Knockeevan estate and the removal of three existing house foundation floor slabs and associated site development works.

Tipperary County Council is due to reach a decision on whether to approve, refuse or seek further information on the planning application on August 14.
