A popular family run restaurant and catering business in Roscommon is set to close today after almost four decades in business.

Horan’s Restaurant located on the Racecourse Rd in the town is to cease trading following the local family’s decision to retire from the hospitality industry.

The closure is seen as end of an era for customers and staff following 40 years of serving the community in the Roscommon area. Owners John and Lisa along with the rest of the Horan family said they wanted to thank the people of the region who supported them down through the years. They also wanted to pay a special thanks to their committed and hardworking members of staff and a special thanks and appreciation to the customers too.
