Ringaskiddy Urban Realm & Active Travel Scheme Community Information Event

Cork County Council is delighted to be progressing with the design of Ringaskiddy Urban Realm & Active Travel Scheme. This scheme builds on the design that obtained Part 8 Planning in 2021 and extends it to the extremities on the village to the west and to Gobby Beach on the eastern side, creating gateways, improving safety and permeability, and facilitating active travel through the village with the addition of shared cycle and pedestrian walkway.

The aim of the scheme is to provide enhanced connectivity to the amenities and services in the area. Jacobs, as Technical Advisors, have prepared draft plans and we are inviting the community to an information event to meet the project team, review the plan and provide feedback.  This feedback will be reviewed and considered, and where feasible, be incorporated in the final design.

The Community information event will take place in Ringaskiddy Community Centre on Wednesday, December 13th from 2-8pm. The project team would encourage stakeholders in the area to attend and we look forward to meeting with Elected representatives, community groups, residents, businesses etc from the locality.
