Brian Dowling and hubby Arthur Gourounlian reveal newborn daughter’s godparents

BRIAN Dowling and his hubby Arthur Gourounlian have revealed the godparents to their newborn baby.

The Six O’Clock Show host and Dancing With The Stars judge recently welcomed their second daughter, Blu, into the world.

Brian and Arthur, already parents to one-year-old Blake, have been giving updates on life with their new baby girl on Instagram.

The celebrity couple have now revealed the “fabulous pair” they have picked to be their daughter’s godparents.

In the first snap Brian’s sister Aoife held baby Blu in her arms and she looked beautiful in a flowing blue dress.

Aoife stepped in to act as a surrogate for the broadcaster and his husband for a second time after they welcomed daughter Blake in September 2022.

The next picture was of RTE star Donal Skehan smiling down at baby Blu as he held her in his arms.

The new dad gushed over his daughter’s godparents in his Instagram post.

He wrote: “The votes have been counted & verified by an independent adjudicator.

“@gourounlian & I are ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED that @effidy_dowling_ has said yes to being Blu’s Godmother & @donalskehan has agreed to take on the role of Godfather.

“We ADORE both Aoife & Donal. They will make a FABULOUS pair of Godparents & provide Blu with so much love, support & of course, a little bit of spoiling.

“In fact, they will give @pipsy_pie & @simonjonespr a run for their money in the Godparents department.

“Arthur & I are TRULY BLESSED when it comes to the Godparents we have for both our daughters but also the love & encouragement we receive from all our family & friends is priceless.

“It really does take a village, people.”

Fans and friends of Brian flooded his Instagram comment section with love for the post.

Godfather Donal replied: “Already in LOVE! Blu we got you!”

Blake’s godmother Pippa O’Connor joked: “Godparent wars.”

One fan said: “Blu and Blake are such lucky little girls to be surrounded by all that love!”

Helen commented: “Aww fabulous choice for godparents.”

Paula wrote: “Ah this is just amazing, wondering, a blessing.”
