Electric Picnic 2024: Gardaí publish interactive travel map

The Gardaí have just published a route map to Electric Picnic 2024 which shows apparant changes to the campsites.

Electric Picnic ticketholders are reacting to changes to the campsites on the site map, issued by An Garda Síochána on July 5.

“Oooh that’s a bummer now green car park was good near pink moon now hour walk  n pulling carts oh the poor body,” one noted.

“I’m really frustrated now as we are staying in cosmic venue but it looks most farthest of all as it’s been advertised as having direct access to arena? Wtf? Anyone else feels the pain?,” another notes.

“Looks like the green carpark is now where the campervans are going, which is dead handy for anyone who has this option. There’s a blue carpark which I think is new (I’ve never seen a blue carpark),” another fan notes. 

The Gardaí advise people not to use their Sat Nav when driving to Electric Picnic carparks.

“This year we are encouraging you not to use SAT NAV and to follow the dedicated routes shown on the map. Garda resources are allocated to these routes to get you to Electric Picnic 2024 in a safe and timely manner,” they say.

The interactive map can be zoomed in to view in detail.

It shows each of the red, green, blue and yellow carparks as well as all the campsites including, Silver, Cosmic Avenue, Jimmy Hendrix, Under the Stars, Janis Joplin, Charlie Chaplin, Eriu, Harvest Moon, Poets, Performers, Family, Artists, Production and Staff campsites.

Electric Picnic 2024 takes place from August 16 to 18, with Early Entry camping opening at 4pm on Thursday August 15 for those who bought early entry tickets as well as weekend tickets.  The sold-out music and arts festival has a capacity of 75,000 this year, with headliners Noah Kahan, Calvin Harris and Kylie Minogue.
