Ireland AM presenter has ‘hard day’ as she replaces Alan Hughes on air

IRELAND AM presenter Alan Hughes has been missing on air this week.

Eurovision star Brooke Scullion, who often co-hosts the hit breakfast show on weekends, is filling in for Alan this week while he takes a well deserved break from work.

Brooke co-hosted the show alongside mainstay hosts Muireann O’Connell and Tommy Bowe.

Muireann took to Instagram this morning and recorded herself, Tommy and Brooke hanging around together on set.

The Limerick native said, “Look who’s here” before Tommy popped his head out and shouted: “I’m here. Well I’m always here.”

Muireann laughed and said: “He’s not the special one.”

She panned the camera to Brooke and said: “Joining us all week, it’s day three and you’re struggling.”

The Derry native has been having a tough time with the early morning starts.

Brooke explained: “This has been the hardest day. 5am club has me in a chokehold, needs to get rid of me.”

Muireann added: “And she’s like, ‘I’m done with this now, I’m done’.”

Ireland AM shared a stunning snap of the three co-hosts looking happier than ever as they huddled in close on the iconic burgundy couch.

Brooke stunned in a brown polo-neck jumper, matching mini skirt and snake skin heeled boots.

Muireann was dressed in a denim maxi skirt with a slit, grey knit cardigan and pink pointed heels.

While Tommy looked dapper wearing dark denim jeans and a navy long sleeve shirt.

Yesterday Muireann looked stunning as she posed in the Virgin Media studios wearing a khaki green shirt dress.

The mini linen dress has a collar, half-length sleeves and a button-up front.

DRESS TO IMPRESS

Muireann tied the fabulous look together with a pair of brown sandals from Penneys and wore a brown belt around her waist.

She also added some gold jewellery and wore her blonde hair down in loose curls.

The presenter picked her dress up from Bow and Pearl and it’s available on the website for €100.

The host captioned her post: “Dress like you’re going on safari and want to break your ankle.

“Still trying to get to grips with the bloody parting.
