Irish star forced to pull out of festival last minute due to ‘exhaustion’

IRISH star Nadine Coyle has been forced to pull out of a festival due to “exhaustion”.

The Derry native has just finished off her UK and Ireland reunion tour with her Girls Aloud bandmates.

The girlband performed 30 shows over two months, staring in Dublin on May 17 before wrapping up in Liverpool on June 30.

Nadine was due to perform at Kubix Festival in Sunderland this weekend, but has pulled out last minute.

The festival organisers broke the news to ticket holders yesterday over on Instagram with a statement that said: “Unfortunately Nadine Coyle is no longer able to play Kubix due to exhaustion but we hope she gets plenty of rest and will inviting her back to a future Festival!”

The 39-year-old’s fans have wished her well.

One fan commented: “Hope Nadine’s okay. Was a very long tour.”

Nadine’s replacement has already been revealed as Damage will be taking to the state on Saturday July 13 instead.

The 90s boyband have hits such as Forever, Wonderful Tonight, So What If I and Ghetto Romance.

They will be joining a host of headliners including Busted, Sam Ryder, Vengaboys, Boyzlife, 2 Unlimited, Rednex and Cascada, Basshunter and Ultrabeat.

Cheryl, Nadine, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh took to the stage for a very intimate gig at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire for one final hurrah last week.

And Rita Ora, husband Taika Waititi, Ashley Roberts, Rylan Clark and Graham Norton were amongst those who danced in the balcony at the gig- held exclusively for lucky O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers who had won tickets.

Superfan Rita, who looked amazing in a sheer dress from Primark, was seen going wild alongside her Taika,48.

The girls played through a series of hits including Love Machine, Sound of the Underground, The Promise and Biology.

And everyone was moved to tears when the group paid a heartbreaking tribute to Sarah Harding.

They revealed they would be singing along to Sarah in an unreleased version of I’ll Stand By You.

Sarah – who tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2021 – had sung the track solo and both the band and the crowd joined in as a video of her played out.

Cheryl and Nadine were seen hugging on stage, before comforting a crying Kimberley Walsh.
