Audi A4 impounded in Waterford by Gardaí ahead of court proceedings | WLRFM.com

Court proceedings are underway for a driver caught speeding at almost double the limit in Waterford.

Gardaí detected the car travelling at 91kph in a 50kph zone.

On further inspection, the car was found to have no valid NCT and no tax.

Additionally, two tyres described by Gardaí as ‘dangerously defective’ were on the car at the time of inspection.

An On the Spot fine was given to the driver for the speeding offence as well as for the defective tyres.

The Audi A4 was impounded by Gardaí.

Furthermore, the driver will be brought to court for the offense of driving without insurance.
