Michael Douglas says Catherine Zeta-Jones makes him ‘drop the trou and whip it out’ during golf
Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones apparently walks away from a round of golf with a super specific prize, according to husband Michael Douglas.
The 79-year-old stunned The View cohosts on Wednesday when he revealed during a chat about his new documentary America’s Burning that he and Zeta-Jones, 54, are quite competitive when it comes to challenging each other while golfing, and said his wife has a particular way of dealing with him when she triumphs over her spouse.
“What does she make you do when you lose to her?” cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin inquired. “Whip it out. She says, ‘You’ve gotta whip it out,'” Douglas said with a smile. “Drop the trou and whip it out.”
Griffin clapped her hands together and laughed, while Sara Haines firmly planted her palms over her mouth for the next few seconds.
“That’s the secret to a marriage,” Griffin quipped. “I’m going to be 80 in September, so now I play off of ladies tees, too, so I don’t have to do that anymore,” Douglas added.
A playfully shocked Whoopi Goldberg also chuckled from her seat, and admitted that she didn’t know how to address what her interview guest had just said at the Hot Topics table.

Douglas’ admission came amid a particularly phallus-focused day at The View, when cohost Joy Behar kicked off the live show with a quip about the Washington Monument looking like a penis amid an impassioned criticism of Donald Trump.
“It looks very much like a penis to me. Just saying,” the 81-year-old said.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC. Watch Douglas talk about golf with Zeta-Jones in the video above.
