‘I’m still not over it’ cries Kathryn after daughter mortified her in restaurant

RTE star Kathryn Thomas was left mortified after a recent family outing.

The former Operation Transformation host and her restaurateur partner Padraig McLaughlin have two kids together – Ellie, 6 and two-year-old Grace.

Kathryn took to Instagram yesterday to share the difficulties of toilet training her youngest child.

She recalled the horrifying moment that her daughter pooed in public while they were enjoying a meal.

The 45-year-old said: “We were in a restaurant and your woman comes up through the restaurant and she had her hand up in the air and I realised it was covered in poo.

“I jumped up out of the seat, ran her to the bathroom, cleaned off her little hand and said, ‘Don’t worry sweetheart, we’ll get you new pants. It’s no problem’.”

Kathryn acted fast and had thought the sticky situation was over until she realised her little one had taken out her number two in the restaurant.

The popular presenter explained: “I pulled down the nappy pants and there was no poo. I said, ‘Sweetheart, where’s the poo?’. And she said, ‘I took it out’.

“I rang Padraig, who was sitting at the table having a glass of wine, and said, ‘Get up off the table and go look around for a little s*** on the floor’.

“Honestly, I was not the better of it and about two minutes later he knocked on the bathroom door and was like, ‘It’s okay I got it’.”

Fortunately, Padraig found the remains behind a table and “nobody saw”.

Kathryn, still looking shocked, added: “I swear to god, I’m still not over it.”

The family-of-four is just back from their week long holiday in Portugal.

The family-of-four stayed in the five-star hotel, Martinhall Sagres Resort, located in Sagres, Portugal.

The resort is situated right on the beach with sea views as far as the eye can see.

She took to Instagram to post a gorgeous photo of herself wearing a white and black one piece with a V-neck plunging neckline.

The mum-of-two tied the look together wearing a black and white aztec kimono, a straw hat, brown sandals and black sunglasses.

The Carlow native leaned on the wooden fence beside the beach as she looked out onto the stunning sea views while grinning from ear-to-ear.
