Armagh v Kerry LIVE score updates from the All-Ireland football semi-final
Armagh and Kerry will battle it for a place in the All-Ireland final in a 5.30 pm throw-in at Croke Park today.
The last time Armagh made the All-Ireland final was in 2002, when Kieran McGeeney captained his side to a 1-12 to 0-14 victory over today’s opponents.
Now McGeeney is managing his native county and hoping to steer them to another victory over the Kingdom.
After losing the Ulster final on penalties to Donegal, Armagh topped Group 1 of the round-robin stages to make the last eight.
Goals from Barry McCambridge and Conor Turbitt saw them see off Roscommon3 and end a run of six consecutive quarter-final defeats for the Orchard County.
Kerry’s season has been slow progression as they look to make their third successive decider.
Jack O’Connor’s side cruised to the Munster title before going unbeaten in the round-robin stages.
Their quarter-final clash with Derry was a dire affair but Kerry were able to find the answers at the big moments.
Today’s match will be shown live on RTE 2 and will be available to stream on RTE Player.

Former Kerry ace fears Kingdom could crash out if they follow Dublin’s lead
By Michael Scully
Darran O’Sullivan has warned Kerry not to follow in the footsteps of Dublin and allow themselves to get ambushed out of the championship.
The former Kingdom great insists it’s not just Kerry who will be energised by the fall of the reigning champions to Galway.
He predicts that Saturday’s All-Ireland semi-final opponents Armagh will be eyeing up the Sam Maguire with renewed focus, as will Sunday’s last four pairing of Galway and Donegal.

A rare meeting
The lack of recent Championship history between these sides is surprising given their quality.
Their last Championship meeting came in 2006 when Kieran McGeeney’s Armagh struggled to live with a Kerry side that went on to lift Sam Maguire.
The most recent between these sides was in the 2023 Allianz Football League, with the Kingdom winning a cagey match by a single point.
Many fans fear that this sem-final might also be a cagey affair if Armagh set out to stifle Kerry’s attacking flair.
This was a strategy employed by Derry in the quarter-finals, and while the Ulster side were able to disrupt Kerry’s rhythm, they were ultimately not good enough to find the necessary scores.
It will be fascinating in this sense to see how Armagh, who have plenty of attacking talent of their own, approach this match.
