DUBLIN Airport has announced a huge bonus for passengers in Terminal One.
The airport took to social media to reveal a new addition yesterday.
The tweet read: “New at Dublin Airport!
“Blue Bird Coffee Roasters offers the finest croissants, irresistible coffee, wine, and scrumptious bites.”
Blue Bird Coffee Roasters will be located in Terminal One departures, after security.
Last week, Dublin Airport opened a new barbers for the first time in 30 years.
The Grafton Barber is located in the arrivals hall of Terminal One.
Managing Director of Dublin Airport, Gary McLean said: “This a great addition to the offering available to passengers in the terminals at Dublin Airport.
“We listen closely to passenger feedback and know that being able to get a haircut in the airport, either before or after a flight, is going to prove really popular.”
He added: “It’s something that we’ve continually heard that passengers would like to be able to get while visiting the airport and it’s great to see it open just as the peak summer period gets underway.”
It comes as another Irish airport has made a groundbreaking new announcement.
Shannon Airport has launched its brand-new mobile app, which is designed to make the customer experience even easier.
It is available to download now for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The game-changing app boasts a range of innovative features that will ensure the journey through Shannon Airport is as smooth as possible from booking flights, and car parking right through to check-in, and departure.
It will be the first of its kind to offer smart watch integration, setting a new standard in passenger convenience and technology, with customers able to receive real time flight tracking updates and push notification directly to their smart watch.
This means passengers are updated in real time on the live status of departing and arriving flights, check-in status, baggage carousel information, gate statuses, and flight delays or cancellations.
In another first, the Shannon Airport app will also offer users an Augmented Reality bag size checker.
Passengers can measure their bag size at home using the measurement tool on the app, to ensure it complies with specific airline guidelines for carry-on luggage.
Car parking at Shannon Airport will also be even more streamlined with the introduction of the Shannon Airport app.
Apple and Google Pay functions will allow passengers to pay for their parking with just the click of a button on their phone.
They will also be able to easily locate their car upon their return to Shannon with the ‘Pin My Car’ feature, another first for an Irish airport app.

The user just needs to pin the location of their parked car on the airport map when they arrive at the airport, which they can then use to easily find it on returning from their trip.
Customers will also be able to access Shannon Airport’s route destinations, making the travel planning process even easier.
