Alfie Hewett continues, thanking his coaching team and family after winning the Wimbledon singles titles to complete his Grand Slam collection:

“I don’t want to look over here because I’ll probably start crying. I want to thank my team, they’re like a second family over there, we’ve gone through a
lot together, a lot of highs and some lows.

“But no matter how many times you get knocked down you can still get back up
and keep trying, and that’s all down to you guys.”

“And to my quiet bunch over there, you’re an incredible lot. It’s obviously not been an easy couple of years.

“I want to thank my grandad who’s here today.
Some say we go way back, he was here for my very first Wimbledon performance and it’s
really nice you can he here today to celebrate this win.

“And to the rest of my
family, you’re all very special and I love you lots.”
