Donations flood in as fundraiser set up for John Hunt’s family after tragedy

An online fundraiser to help support racing commentator John Hunt and his grieving family has raised over £16,000 in less than a day.

The tragic murder of Hunt’s wife Carol, 61, and their two daughters, Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, has numbed the horse racing community and the wider world.




Hunt is a much-loved figure in the racing community, and over the past week, there have been many heartfelt tributes to his family.

Now Hunt’s Sky Sports racing colleague Matt Chapman has organised a GoFundMe page to support his friend’s family through this unimaginable time.

Chapman wrote: “This Go Fund Me page has the blessing of John and his family. I am sure, like me, you have been left numb by what has happened.

“I want to help. What can I do?

“That is a question many of you will be asking and have asked John in hundreds/thousands of messages that have meant so much to those involved.

“Well, what we can do is raise as much money as possible for the Hunt family, in particular daughter Amy.
