Famous actor delights Galway cafe with visit as photo shows star pose with staff
A famous Hollywood actor has delighted staff at a Galway cafe as he paid a surprise visit this week.
Irish actor Robert Sheehan brought a smile to the faces of staff at the Creamery Cafe in Salthill on Sunday as he happily posed for a photo as he popped in for a cone.
Sharing the moment on social media, the staff said it was ‘really great’ to have the actor in as he beamed for the photo.

The ‘Misfits’ and ‘Love/Hate’ star is in Galway this week enjoying the Galway Film Fleadh as well as the International Arts Festival and has been spotted out and about the city.
Earlier this week the star was spotted outside the Town Hall Theatre as he greeted members of the band Kneecap, who were attending a screening of their new self-titled film.
Known for his TV roles in popular series such as The Umbrella Academy on Netflix, it’s no surprise Sheehan managed to attract attention.
A series of clips shows the actor chatting to fans and festival-goers as he enjoyed his day in the City of Tribes.
Galway city got its first, and hopefully last, visit from an armoured jeep on Tuesday as the hit Irish rap trio Kneecap arrived for the Galway Film Fleadh.
The rap group’s arrival was just as attention-grabbing as their bombastic lyrics as they grabbed selfies with local businesses and had all eyes on their groundbreaking film which premiered at the annual Galway event.
Based on their origin story, the Kneecap film stars the band’s Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí in their acting debuts alongside Academy Award-nominated Michael Fassbender.
Set in West Belfast in 2019, it chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”.
he film was shown at this week’s fleadh in the Town Hall Theatre on Tuesday 9 July at 7pm to a packed audience including Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí.
Ironically the balaclava-wearing Próvaí was the only member identifiable as the crew stood holding flares on an armoured jeep with tricolours, Palestinian flags and an ‘English out of Ireland’ poster in Galway city centre.
The rap group will be back in Galway later this month to perform at the Galway International Arts Festival in the big Top on Thursday 18 July.
