Love tennis? Rally round and help us shape the future of East Brighton Park courts

Hot on the heels of Wimbledon 2024, we’re asking tennis players to let us know how the public courts in East Brighton Park should be managed.

This follows a proposal by the newly formed East Brighton Park Community Tennis CIC (Community Interest Company), to manage and operate the two public tennis courts at the park.

Have your say!

The proposal and management plans have been drawn up by the Community Interest Company, working with the Lawn Tennis Association.

Now residents are being invited to have their say by taking part in a public consultation.

The proposals are being put forward under a process called Community Asset Transfer (CAT.) This process, used nationally by many local authorities, enables sports clubs and communities to manage facilities and generate investment for upgrading and maintenance.

Previous success

Since 2021, four other local tennis clubs located in the city’s parks have successfully taken over the management and operation of tennis facilities including Preston Park.

Under the proposals, tennis facilities in the city would continue to be available for public use.

You can find out more about East Brighton Park on the LTA’s East Brighton Park webpage or on our East Brighton Park webpage.
