ALERT: County Carlow road under full road closure, diversion in place

Carlow County Council have announced that a stretch of County Carlow road is set to be set to be under full closure.

The road is going to be closed to facilitate road resurfacing works.

The regional road that is closed is the R-703, it will be closed Tinnahinch and Coolnamara Crossroads (Junction of the R-703 and R-729) on Tuesday the 16/07/2024 between the hours of 7.00am abd 6.00pm.

The road will be closed to all vehicular traffic during these work hours. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Diversion route will be via the St Mullins Road, L-3008 and the R-729.
Diversion routes will be in place, clearly marked and junctions will be manned by Traffic Management crews. 

Carlow County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to members of the public who reside at or normally use the area in question and will endeavour to ensure the minimum disruption to motorists and to have the works completed by the appointed time.
