Brandon McManus Accused of Sexual Assault; NFL Kicker, Jaguars Sued for M

Two women have sued NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars over allegations of sexual assault during the team’s flight to London last season, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.

“According to the lawsuit, the two women worked as flight attendants on the Jaguars’ Sept. 28, 2023, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings charter flight and they allege the flight ‘quickly turned into a party’ as McManus and several other players disregarded the flight attendants’ personal space, air travel safety, and federal law,” DiRocco reported. “The lawsuit also claims that McManus recruited three other flight attendants to the party and passed out $100 bills to encourage them to drink and dance inappropriately for him.”

The Washington Commanders, McManus’ current team, issued a statement regarding the lawsuit.

“Earlier today, we were made aware of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus,” the team said. “We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter. We have been in communication with the League Office and Brandon’s representation, and will reserve further comment at this time.”

One woman, identified as Jane Doe I, said McManus attempted to kiss her and was “twice grinding up against her while she was serving the flight’s two meal services.” The other woman, Jane Doe II, said McManus “grinded up against her” and “smirked and walked away” when she confronted him.

The women say they have suffered “severe mental anguish” among other mental health issues since the alleged incidents, and they say they have been removed from the staffs that work the flights the Jaguars charter. They’re seeking around $1 million in damages.

McManus spent the 2023 season with Jacksonville after having played his first nine years with the Denver Broncos.

The 32-year-old agreed to a $3.6 million deal with the Commanders for 2024.
