Galway brasserie blows every Irish competition away winning restaurant of year
A restaurant in Galway has taken home the most prestigious of prizes at the Nation Yes Chef Awards.
Brasserie on the Corner picked up not one, but three awards including the biggest of the night when they claimed the Restaurant Of The Year award.
Brasserie on the Corner was also named National Winner of Casual Dining of the Year and Nationally Highly Commended for Seafood Restaurant of the Year.

Chefs and industry professionals from all over Ireland descended on the Fairways Hotel for the event which celebrated the culinary excellence found across the country.
Programme Director and judge of the YesChef Awards, said: “One of the best meal experiences we have had! Literally, from the second we stepped into Brasserie until leaving! Exceptional at every level and stage.”
Brasserie on the Corner is a multi-award-winning seafood and steak restaurant that’s renowned for using the highest quality local ingredients. Brasserie first opened its doors in 2012 with its menu coming in for particular praise down the years thanks to its wide variety catering to all tastes and dietary needs.
Wine has become an ever more important part of the Brasserie experience and have held numerous wine events hosted by celebrity chefs and influencers including Rachel Allen, Catherine Fulvio, and Roz Purcell. There’s also a quintessential Irish pub on site in the form of Blake’s Corner Bar which is also a founding member of the Galway Whiskey Trail. The pub received the Best Bar Food in Ireland award at the 2019 Irish Bar of the Year Awards.
