Time flies as Audi comes up with special edition of RS4 classic
How time flies. The Audi RS 4 Avant (estate) is 25 years on the go. A quarter of a century later they are launching a special edition to what has always been a memorable drive.
Power from the 2.9-litre TFSI V6 biturbo increases to 470PS. Additionally, there are adjustments to the suspension, and it has carbon ceramic and carbon-backed bucket seats as standard.
Simultaneously, the brand is also launching the new RS 5 Sportback Performance Edition, which enjoys the same powertrain upgrades.
The 20PS increase in the RS 4 Avant helps propel it from a standing start to 100kmh in just 3.7 seconds. That’s 0.4 seconds faster than the standard version.
The manually adjustable coilover suspension gives the special anniversary model a 10mm lower ride height.
Putting all that power on the road are Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tyres on 20-inch alloys, designed for road and racetrack.
Funny enough, the roof rails have been removed to give the vehicle a flatter, sportier silhouette.
