Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra name confirmed by certification – GSMArena.com news

Yesterday a rumor claimed Samsung was going to launch the Galaxy Watch X, a wearable designed to directly compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. This was previously referred to as the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra in a different rumor.

And now it looks like it won’t be called either of those things, instead Samsung went with Galaxy Watch Ultra. This has been revealed through the TDRA certification process in the UAE, as you can see in the screenshot below.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra has the model number SM-L705F, and it has cellular connectivity in this variant. Its FCC listing tells us that it will support 10W charging.

The Watch Ultra will allegedly have a squircle matte case design with a round 1.5″ screen and a rotating bezel. There will be three buttons on the right edge and a large speaker grille on the left edge.

It has been rumored to support 10ATM/100m water resistance, and 100-hour battery life. That would be an insane leap forward for Wear OS – so far the best we’ve seen from Samsung is the claimed 80-hour battery life of the Galaxy Watch5 Pro. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will come with a 578 mAh rated capacity battery by the way, which may well end up being marketed as 600 mAh typical capacity.

It will be powered by the new Exynos W1000 SoC, and is going to become official in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 family, the Galaxy Watch FE / Galaxy Watch4 2024, and the Galaxy Ring.
