Today Caoimhín Kelleher will report into the Ireland camp as first-choice goalkeeper, with Gavin Bazunu out injured until 2025.
It’s a position the Corkman has long yearned for, having been number two for Ireland’s last two qualifying campaigns. In Bazunu’s absence, he’s set to add to his 12 caps in next month’s friendly double-header, as well as in the upcoming Nations League campaign which begins with a blockbuster Lansdowne Road date with England in September.
