Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale star Emile John has shared a new goodbye message following his exit as Ethan Anderson this week.

The character was killed off in tragic scenes that aired on Tuesday night (May 28), with Ethan collapsing as he prepared for his sentencing hearing over the recent Nicky Miligan car crash.

Father Charles later realised that his son’s death may be connected to Ruby Miligan’s recent hit-and-run against Ethan.

After speaking in a video message in the immediate aftermath of the emotional scenes, Emile has now shared a new post, admitting he feels “extremely privileged to have entered this industry working on such an iconic show”.

“I feel extremely privileged to have entered this industry working on such an Iconic show. I honestly had the time of my life!

“Sharing the space with such talented folk on and off screen for the last few years has been a huge honour and an experience that’ll stay with me always.
