Thursday tab: Señor Buscador has 1st work since Dubai

Señor Buscador worked Thursday for the first time since he finished third in the Group 1 Dubai World Cup.

The 6-year-old son of Mineshaft drilled three furlongs in 39.0 seconds at San Luis Rey.

Before the Dubai World Cup, Señor Buscador won the Saudi Cup (G1) for trainer Todd Fincher.

Señor Buscador was one of nine graded-stakes winners with published works Thursday.

Bran (Muhaarar), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Turf Sprint), worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Santa Anita on Thursday morning. It was the 17th fastest of 30 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going three furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he placed second in the Eddie D (G2) going 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Santa Anita on Sept. 30 for trainer John Sadler.

Dicey Mo Chara (Adaay), a Grade 2 winner (2022 San Gabriel), worked five furlongs in 1:03.0 at Santa Anita on Thursday morning. It was the 18th fastest of 23 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he placed seventh in the Charles Whittingham (G2) going 1 1/4 miles on the turf at Santa Anita on May 4 for trainer Leonard Powell.

Señor Buscador (Mineshaft), a Grade 2 winner (2023 San Diego Handicap), worked three furlongs in 39.0 seconds at San Luis Rey on Thursday morning. It was the slower of two works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed third in the Dubai World Cup (G1) going about 1 1/4 miles on the dirt at Meydan Racecourse on March 30 for trainer Todd Fincher.

His previous work was 12 days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park.
