Motorcycle brand Ducati releases new Futa All-Road gravel e-bike

Ducati, a brand better known for its high-performance motorcycles, has just announced a move into the e-gravel market through the new Futa All-Road bike.

It’s not the first bike that the Italian brand has released with three e-mountain bikes already on offer. The Futa All-Road is, however, the brand’s first entry into the gravel and all-road market and it builds on the brand’s existing Futa road bike.

Powering the bike is an FSA System HM 1.0 hub-based motor, which can deliver up to 250 watts and 42Nm of assistance to the rider, while the 250Wh battery is housed inside the bike’s down tube. For riders looking to go on adventures beyond the bike’s standard range, an additional 250Wh range extender can be purchased separately.

“The Futa All Road is designed for long distances and does not shy away from rough roads,” Ducati said in a press release. “It’s a bike for those who like to choose their own path and don’t want to give up the good feeling of escaping traffic. It’s for the enjoyment of panoramic routes, as well as the challenges of long climbs and tough segments.”

Preparing it for these adventures, the Futa All-Road comes fitted with SRAM’s wireless Rival AXS groupset in a two-by configuration, while the bike rolls on a set of Vision AGX 30 carbon wheels. Continuing the Vision/FSA complement of finishing kit are the newly released FSA K-Wing AGX carbon gravel handlebars that have been designed to seamlessly accept bikepacking bags for those longer adventures.

As standard, the Futa All-Road will ship with a Skuad bikepacking kit that comprises a saddle bag, frame bag and bar bag, all of which are made from the brand’s waterproof fabric. The brand says, “the bags are designed to maximise storage space without impacting on handling.”

Interestingly, Ducati has decided to buck the trend with its tyre choice, opting to run a wider front tyre than the rear. A 38mm Vittoria Terreno Dry is used up front with a narrower 35mm version fitted to the rear of the bike.

For those who are interested in Ducati’s latest e-bike offering, the Futa All-Road will be available in four sizes from small to extra large which roughly equates to 53cm to 59cm. The bike tips the scales at a claimed 12.4kg in a size medium, which is relatively light compared to its competition.

The bike can be ordered through the Ducati website or from a Ducati dealership for €7,690, with deliveries starting in June.
