Tony McGregor takes black Porsche for spin around Wicklow after recent heart-attack

The father of the Notorious posted images with family members as they took in the sites of ‘the Garden of Ireland’.

Tony (64) made a peace sign outside the old Wicklow Gaol as well as stopping for snaps beside his luxury sports car, with its notable 188 registration.

Conor famously named his speedboat the 188 in a nod to his old dole payments before he became a multi millionaire.

Sinéad Ó’Connor’s former seafront property in Bray was another location the group stopped at, as well as the near by marina.

Tony finished up his day in Conor’s pub The Black Forge, where he horsed down a fish dinner with onion rings and a pint of stout.

Porsche snap

Tony has luckily recovered quickly from the heart attack he suffered on May 16.

Only ten days ago he bid his hospital bed ‘sayonara’ after the frightening incident.

In an update on Instagram, the Dubliner posted a picture of an empty hospital bed with various cables and leads lying on the mattress.

The caption read: “Sayonara ICU. Hello Laraghcon.”

Bray

The former taxi driver had ended up at The Hermitage Clinic in west Dublin after experiencing chest pains early in the morning.

After receiving a stent, he thanked “the cardio team, Hermitage”.

“Heart attack in the morning, stent in the afternoon, sweet and sour in the evening, see ya later suckers,” Tony wrote.

He could be seen in black socks and pyjamas as he enjoyed some Chinese food in the private hospital in Lucan.

It is understood Conor was one of a number of relatives who joined Tony at his hospital bedside.

Posting a message in support of his dad, the fighter wrote on social media: “We are McGregors, we live forever.”

Tony played a huge part in Conor’s success as a fighter, introducing him to kickboxing when the Notorious was just a child.

While Conor worked as a plumber before entering MMA, Tony worked numerous jobs to provide for his family.

Tony has been present for most of Conor’s UFC fights as he became the promotion’s first two-division champion and MMA’s biggest star.

His son will make his eagerly awaited return to the UFC ring against Michael Chandler on June 30.
