Revolut fixes ‘technical issue’ with app after users hit by problems with card payments, transfers and top-up
Revolut users reported experiencing outages while using the digital banking app earlier today, including problems with card payments and transferring funds.
The technical issue has since been resolved.
A spokesperson for Revolut had said the company was experiencing a technical issue with the app but reassured customers that all their money and data were safe.
“The issue was quickly identified and has now been fixed, with the app back working fully for those affected,” they added in a later update.
Revolut users began to flag issues from around 2pm, according to Down Detector, a website that tracks internet outages.
Hundreds of user reports indicated that customers were facing issues with funds transfer and online banking, while others have experienced login issues.
The Revolut status page showed the company is currently experiencing issues with card payments, topping up via bank card and transfers were partially unavailable.
There were also issues reported with the Revolut Business mobile app and web app, however sign-in systems, ATM withdrawals, currency exchange and vault access are all operational.
All systems are currently operational according the the company’s status page.
“We experienced a technical issue today with our app that impacted some of our customers. The issue was quickly identified and has now been fixed, with the app back working fully for those affected,” a Revolut spokesperson said.
“Many of our customers were unaffected by this and all our customers’ money and data remain safe. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
