The 32nd River Cup men’s golf championships are scheduled for June 8-9 at Mount Hawley Country Club in Peoria.
The River Cup, which began in 1993, is an annual event used to promote golf in the Peoria area. It pits the best amateur golfers from Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties, split into two teams to represent each side of the Illinois River.

Last year, Team Peoria swept the men’s and seniors’ events for the second time in three years. In 2022, Team Tazwood won the men’s event and Peoria the seniors.
Men’s captains this year are Britt Bothast (Peoria) and Austin Craig (Tazwood). Senior captains are Tim Walters (Peoria) and Eric Dicks (Tazwood). Here are the rosters for the men’s and senior competitions; pairings will be announced next week.
