Evo winners play Akuma in Street Fighter 6 featuring Daigo, Tokido, Momochi against top competition

Some of the best players to ever pick up fighting games recently took to playing Akuma, the latest DLC character for Street Fighter 6. These Legend sets have Akuma usage from prior Evo winners, Daigo Umehara, Tokido and Momochi up against top end competitors like Chris Wong, Nemo, Moke and KojiKOG.

This is a great way to see what Akuma looks like in the hands of some of the most skilled players in our community. There are 12 matches in total and they showcase Akuma going up against Ken, Blanka, Lily and Cammy.

All matches are played on the latest version of Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 balance changes, which was included with Akuma’s release on May 22, 2024.

The stand out difference in the Daigo and Tokido matches featured is in their styles while using Akuma. Daigo uses his incredible fireball game to control the neutral, while Tokido uses Akuma’s terrific walk speed to apply pressure and push the opponent towards the corner — which is the spot you do not want to be at in Street Fighter 6.

This is brand new footage of some of the best players in the Fighting Game Community’s entire history playing the latest game at a high level, with commentary by Cujo Kate and I.

The footage is all displayed in 4K (resolution 3840×2160) on a GeForce 4090 with max graphical settings. Frame data is displayed throughout the matches to help viewers learn more about fighting games, by seeing why these pro players use specific actions at key moments during the sets.
