Derry vs Armagh: Mickey Harte’s men look to bounce back after rocky start to championship

Starting teams:

Mickey Harte is boosted by the timely return of Conor Doherty and while Eoin McEvoy was named to start earlier in the week, he misses out again.

Ciaran McFaul is also out with Donnacha Gilmore and Eunan Mulholland coming in. Gareth McKinless is suspended for the game.

DERRY: O Lynch; C McCluskey, C McKaigue, D Baker; C Doherty, E Mulholland, E Bradley; C Glass, B Rogers; E Doherty, D Gilmore, P Cassidy; N Toner, S McGuigan, L Murray.

Rian O’Neill comes into the Armagh team as he replaces the luckless Conor O’Neill who suffered a season-ending achilles injury against Westmeath.

Rian O’Neill had missed that game due to a calf injury he picked up in the Ulster final but returns to the team. There is a blow for Armagh with Ciaran Mackin arriving to the ground on crutches. Rumours are doing the rounds that he suffered the same fate as his sister Aimee in tearing his ACL – though that hasn’t yet been confirmed – but he misses out as does Andrew Murnin, with Niall Grimley and Connaire Mackin coming in.

ARMAGH: B Hughes; B McCambridge, A McKay, P McGrane; J McElroy, Connaire Mackin, A Forker; N Grimley, B Crealey; S Campbell, R Grugan, T Kelly; O Conaty, R O’Neill, C Turbitt.
