Who is Beta Squad vs AMP mystery player as fans convinced they’ve unmasked him

Viewers of the Beta Squad and AMP (Any Means Possible) football match were convinced Michael Olise or Alex Iowbi was the mystery player at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

YouTube and social media stars from around the world came together to play in a charity exhibition in aid of the Water Project. The Beta Squad, who have over nine million subscribers on YouTube, consist of five British content creators Niko Omilana, Chunkz, AJ Shabeel, Sharky and King Kenny TV.

AMP, with all-time most subscribed Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, boasted British YouTubers WillNe, Angry Ginge and American sensation Sketch. Their team featured a mystery player who is a current professional footballer with Champions League experience and remained masked for the entire match.

Over 700,000 concurrent viewers tuned in for the encounter, fans took to X as they looked to unmask the current top-flight footballer. Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise was mooted, while Fulham and former Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi was also suggested. They were heavily involved in the encounter, scoring the equaliser as the two sides went in at the break 2-2.

Sharky explained why they would wear a mask, he said: “This player will be wearing a mask and the reason is because this player has played in the Premier League and is playing current professional football – Champions League level. So we can’t reveal his identity.”

Iwobi had Champions League experience while supporters who felt it could be Olise or Spence could be wrong as the pair haven’t played in the elite European competition. Spence spent last season on loan at Genoa, making 16 appearances in Serie A, after just seven outings for Leeds United during a disappointing spell but has experience with Rennes in the Europa League.
