Fundraiser set up for Dublin woman after cancer returns
A fundraiser has been set up for a Dublin woman after her cancer has returned.
Ruth McGettrick has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help her friend Aisling, who has breast cancer.
“My darling Aisling fought breast cancer with unwavering strength less than 2 years ago. Devastatingly, the disease has returned in the form of lesions in her bones. She will now require targeted treatment of injections every 2 weeks and daily medication for at least 3 years. This critical care will cost over €8,000 every month,” Ruth explained on the fundraising page.
“We are facing an unimaginable financial burden at a time of great uncertainty especially with our little boy arriving in September. Any contributions, no matter how small, will make a profound difference in helping Aisling to access the treatments she so desperately needs in Hong Kong.”
