JOHNJAY (9.00 Bath, nap)

Roger Teal’s four-year-old has been hammering on the door with a good third here followed by second in a hotter contest at Newbury last time out. This trip and track are his favourite and he should get the job done with David Probert taking over in the saddle.

VOODOO RAY (4.30 Brighton, nb)

He won two in a row before bringing up the hat-trick at Bath last time. He is creeping up the weights but this trip is ideal and he looks hard to beat for local heroes Gary and Josh Moore.

HEER’S SADIE (2.00 Brighton, treble)

He brought up his third win here last month and was a bit unlucky not to score again last time. She was forced to come wide around runners which meant she had to settle for a closing third. Granted better luck, she can get her head back in front.

BOTAS (8.10 Goodwood, Lucky 15)

He has been in flying form on the all-weather and had a fair bit up his sleeve when scoring at Kempton 16 days ago. He ran well on his last turf outing at Nottingham and won’t be far away.
