The Speer sisters topped Kyler Dunn and Taylor Patrick of Saint Jo, 7-6 and 6-1, in the state quarterfinals.

They bested Melanie Rainey and Baylee Rainey of Mertzon Irion County, 6-2 and 6-3, in the state semi-final match.

In the other semi-final match, Cole and Cox were 6-3 and 6-1 winners over B.K. Behrens and Kenzie White of Gail Borden County.

Last week, the Speer sisters were headed to Abilene to compete in the Texas State High School Rodeo Association state finals, set June 6-15.
