Luas Red Line services suspended due to medical emergency

Good afternoon and welcome to Dublin Live’s traffic blog in partnership with Dublin City FM.

There are no Red Line Luas services between Smithfield and The Point due to a medical emergency at Four Courts. There is currently no Green Line service between Sandyford and Brides Glen due to a power outage.




A Luas spokesperson said: “Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration.”

Luas services operating again on the Red Line

There are some delays following the earlier suspension due to a medical emergency

Luas services down on the Red Line

A Luas spokesperson said: “There is currently no Red Line service between Smithfield and The Point due to a medical emergency at Four Courts.

“There is currently no Green Line service between Sandyford and Brides Glen due to a power outage. Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration.”

Irish Rail delays

  • Delays of approximately 20 are expected on some DART services due to a signalling issue between Bayside and Sutton.
  • 10:20 Howth to Bray will not operate Howth to Howth Junction.

M50 delays

M50 southbound has volume from Junction 4 Ballymun to the Westlink bridge but is moving at 40-50 km/h for most of it.

There are slight delays on the M50 northbound from Junction 9 Red Cow to Junction 7 Lucan.

There are currently 51 traffic jams in Dublin but this number is expected to rise as we get closer to rush hour.
