Goalkeeper Cam Mason joins the Blues! – Chester Football Club
Chester FC are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Cameron Mason!
The 28-year-old stopper arrives on an initial one-year contract and becomes our third new summer recruit.
From Oldham, Mason joined Curzon Ashton in 2014 after completing his scholarship at Chesterfield – and was with the Nash for seven years, making more than 150 appearances for the club.
Cam went on to join Southport in the summer of 2021, before moving to Guiseley for an undisclosed fee in January 2023.
Last season he returned to Curzon, playing 35 times for the club as they reached the National League North Play-Offs for the first time.
Manager Calum McIntyre said: “I’m really pleased we’ve been able to secure Cam as our goalkeeper for the season ahead.
“We were really clear on what we wanted as we look to increase the age and experience of the group and Cam comes to us with real experience of the league and highly regarded as among the best goalkeepers in the division.
“There is a reason so many clubs wanted his signature this summer, but Cam was really clear that he wants to be part of what we are going to do this season.
“We are close to some other pieces of business as we build towards the start of pre-season in two weeks.
“We haven’t missed out on any of our targets at present and I’m really happy with how the group is taking shape.”
Welcome to CH1, Cam!
