Inside Galway GAA star’s wedding to bride as pair tie the knot at luxury castle

A star Galway GAA player has tried the knot to his Donegal bride in a stunning Irish castle wedding as the pair tied the knot at the luxury location this week.

Galway GAA star Enda Tierney made it official with former Donegal manager Declan Bonner’s daughter Amara Bonner this month as the celebrations saw a huge turnout of sports stars for the big day.

The bash took place in Amara’s home county at the gorgeous Lough Eske Castle in Donegal where the pair celebrated surrounded by family and friends including Enda’s brother Matthew, also on the county team.

Enda’s local team Oughterard congratulated the couple on their special day as they shared a photo at the breathtaking spot on social media.

The beaming post read: “Huge Congratulations to our senior team Enda Tierney and his beautiful bride Amara Bonner who got married last Saturday in Donegal. We wish them both a lifetime of health and happiness and a wonderful future together.”

Meanwhile Amara’s makeup artist shared a video of the bride’s makeup on the big day as she wrote a sweet caption that read: “When Dr Bonner started off her studies in Galway – the city of tribes, little did she know she was going to meet her tribesman and soulmate Enda, from the idyllic Oughterard, Galway. I loved hearing your beautiful love story! I’d like to wish you both many magical years of happiness together. I cannot wait to catch up with you both again in Galway”

Enda and Amara’s parents have a deep-rooted connection with the GAA. Declan Bonner, a former Donegal player, won an All-Ireland medal in 1992.
