Coastal Women’s Basketball Welcomes Koerdt for 24-25 Season – Coastal Carolina University Athletics
CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women’s basketball head coach Kevin Pederson has announced Jaidyn Koerdt, a transfer from Eastern Florida State College, has joined the Chanticleer women’s basketball team for the 2024-25 season.
“Jaidyn is the type of student-athlete that every coach covets. She is a very talented basketball player that excels in the classroom and gives you 100 percent effort 100 percent of the time on the court,” Pederson stated. “We expect to take a big step forward this season, and if we do, it will be because of people like Jaidyn.”
A 5-11 guard from Providence, Ark., Koerdt was second on the team as she averaged 9.9 points per game in the 31 games she appeared in. She shot 38.9 percent from the floor, going 98-of-252 from the field and 44-of-144 from behind the three-point arc. Koerdt grabbed 85 rebounds and totaled 48 assists
Last season, Koerdt scored in double digits 16 times with a career-high 21 points in a 66-60 win versus Indian River State College on January 17. The 5-11 shooting guard scored 10 or more points in five straight games after missing the first five games of the season.
At Pulaski Academy, Koerdt helped guide her team to the 2022 conference championship and the 4A-North Regional championship. She earned all-conference honors for three years (2020, 2021, and 2022). In 2021, Koerdt was tabbed to the 5A-West All-Conference, All-State, and All-State Tournament teams, while winning conference Underclassman of the Year. She followed that by being named to the 2022 4A All-Conference, North All-Region, and All-State Tournament teams.
