Take a giant Leep into the Queen Mother’s Cup.
This York contest is one of the biggest races of the season for female amateur jockeys and we’ve got a good one on ANDALEEP (1.50) in the shape of Brodie Hampson.
She takes the ride on a horse who will appreciate this 1m3f trip having made his return to turf when finishing in midfield over 1m2f at this track last month.
The ground could turn quite soft as rain is forecast in the area overnight and into the morning. That won’t bother my fancy. He won on good to soft at this track last season and he went on to win twice on the all-weather during the winter.

Plenty of bookies are paying out on five places. Sky Bet is going six.
QUEST FOR FUN (2.25) would also appreciate some ease in the ground.

The handicapper has cut him some slack as a result and he won over this course and distance last season. Have 1pt each-way at 25-1. Race sponsor Sky Bet is offering seven places.

He was a little too fresh and the distance seemed a bit too far but the run would have done him the world of good. It was an excellent starting point for the season and the form is solid.
Some might be put off by his wide draw but the stats are nowhere near as negative as they are for sprint distances. Have 2pts each-way at 14-1. Most firms are going four places.
