Coronation Street‘s snazzy Hollywood signing has left the soap just weeks after his first episode hit screens.

Theatre star Robin Morrissey has been starring in Corrie this month as Summer Spellman’s LA love interest Felix.

He and Summer made a surprise visit to Weatherfield on June 1’s episode to see Summer’s foster fathers Billy Mayhew and Paul Foreman.

Robin, 35, is no stranger to British soaps having appeared in Holby City and Doctors over the years.

In Hollywood, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, and Halle Berry after appearing in box office smash Cloud Atlas.

The theatre star has been starring on the soap as teen Summer’s LA boyfriend, and his first scenes were broadcast earlier this month

Refreshed from a three-month break from uni in the US, Summer (Harriet Bibby) was all smiles as she was reunited with Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul (Peter Ash).

The pair also went to see Billy’s ex-boyfriend Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) whom she sees as a third father.

Summer was clearly shaken to see that Paul’s motor neurone disease had progressed since their last meeting.

Felix, a PHD student in neuroscience, showed a very keen interest in Paul’s condition.

Paul’s sad detoriation will be the last storyline for actor Peter Ash as he prepares for an emotional exit.

He previously told the Daily Mirror: ‘I’ll be sad to leave the show. It’s an amazing job, I’ve met fantastic people.

‘I’ll be sad to leave but at the same time, I’m quite happy to be involved in such a powerful storyline which will hopefully bring awareness to it. It’s a double edged sword.”

Paul is expected to die from his illness, which he was diagnosed with in April 2023, in May or June.
