Where is Jets’ Aaron Rodgers? Ex-NFL QB sounds like he knows
Aaron Rodgers did not attend either day of Jets mandatory minicamp this week.
So where is he?
Head coach Robert Saleh told reporters before practice on Tuesday that the quarterback was missing minicamp for “an event that was very important to him,” which had been communicated to the team ahead of time.
That event hasn’t been revealed, but NFL Network’s Chase Daniel seems like he might know.
“Wait until you hear where Aaron Rodgers is…instead of with his teammates.,” Daniel wrote on X with an eyeballs emoji. “That’s an expensive absence.”
Rodgers’ absence is unexcused so he is subject to a fine from the Jets.

Saleh said he was not disappointed that Rodgers did not go to minicamp. Rodgers has attended all voluntary workouts this year and last year.
“No, again, selfishly, I want all our guys here all the time,” Saleh said. “But when you get to these mandatory things, you make the best decision for yourself. Obviously, selfishly want all the guys here all the time but he made the decision and that’s what he went with. … He had something that was very important to him. And if it’s important to him, it’s important to us.”
