Beast who raped woman in Ireland pictured after making fake asylum bid

THIS is the dangerous sex beast who tried to apply for asylum in a bid to avoid being given the boot from Ireland after serving time for raping a woman here.

The Irish Sun on Sunday today exposes monster Edmond Cikalleshi, 51, who attempted to stop his deportation by taking advantage of procedures put in place for the most vulnerable in society.

The brute was due to be deported in February after he finished serving time for his horrendous rape crime.

But sources say he sought to apply for asylum, claiming his native Albania was not safe to return to.

This is despite the Department of Justice recognising it as a designated safe country.

It meant the deportation order was essentially put on hold pending the outcome of his application.

Within weeks gardai lifted Cikalleshi once more, detaining him under laws regarding a threat to public safety.

He was remanded in custody at Dublin’s Cloverhill Prison but in a bizarre mistake, he was released early by the Irish Prison Service.

When Cikalleshi was located, he was returned to the slammer before he ultimately gave up his bid to stay in the country and withdrew his attempt to apply for asylum.

A source told us: “This individual was taking advantage of the system in place. His so-called application for asylum had no legitimacy and it would have been rejected outright.

“But the process can take up to a year-and-a-half. There was also a concern that he may have thought if he dodged the deportation order once using this tactic, he could disappear back into society and be forgotten about by authorities. But that was never going to be the case.”

Cikalleshi left the country voluntarily a number of weeks ago.

Officers escorted the beast to Germany before he boarded a flight to his home country.

Evil Cikalleshi, from the port city of Durrës in western Albania, was in Ireland for over 20 years.

TWISTED RAPIST

On his social media profiles, the twisted rapist posted multiple pictures of himself in restaurants and coffee shops.

He also put up snaps near the Spire, outside Arnotts and at the Ha’penny Bridge in the capital.

Cikalleshi was sentenced to six years’ jail in 2022, which was backdated to when he first went into custody in August 2019, after he was convicted of raping a woman he had invited out for a coffee.

They had agreed to meet in a Leinster town on June 22, 2017, and the women met him off the bus from Dublin at around 9.40pm, the Central Criminal Court heard.

Cikalleshi went to a nearby off-license and bought some beer before he suggested that they go back to his apartment for coffee.

As the woman got up to take off her jacket, the sicko began to take off her clothes.

Cikalleshi continued before he walked her naked into a bedroom and put her face down on the bed and raped her.

After his arrest, he told gardai he didn’t know the woman, before later admitting that he did.

Liar Cikalleshi claimed he had not touched her and said that she had initiated kissing him and took off her own clothes.

Predator Cikalleshi told detectives that the woman asked him to stop and they didn’t have sex.

But an examination of the woman at a sexual assault treatment unit immediately after the rape had detected semen in her body with matched that of Cikalleshi’s DNA.

SEX OFFENDER ASYLUM BID

ANOTHER rapist is also seeking asylum despite having a deportation order against him.

He remains in Ireland as that application process is ongoing.

Last week, sex offender Chico Makamda was flown back to the Democratic Republic of Congo on foot of a deportation order.

He had 19 convictions for a string of sexual and false imprisonment offences since he arrived in Ireland in 2009.
