The Birmingham Classic is the second British-based WTA 250 event in the build-up to Wimbledon this summer.

Reigning champion Jeļena Ostapenko will return as top seed in a bid to defend her crown, while a host of other stars will be on show.

Former Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejčíková, rising superstar Mirra Andreeva and British No. 1 Katie Boulter are all among seeded contention.

Boulter will be determined to build on her recent rise into the world’s top 30 ahead of Wimbledon. She reached the third round in the last two editions, but will be focused on breaking new ground when The Championships burst into life in July.
