Deco puts Luis Diaz and Bruno Guimaraes at top of his shopping list at Barcelona

Barcelona sporting director Deco has reportedly put Liverpool forward Luis Diaz and Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes at the top of his shopping list this summer.

The club are still waiting to hear if they can return to the 1:1 rule this summer, with Diario Sport reporting Barca are not ruling out a big signing or two if that does happen.

Diaz has been linked with Barcelona for a while now, and it seems Deco really does think he’s the best option on the left – with Nico Williams next on his list.

Guimaraes is another name that is regularly linked with Barcelona but has previously seemed out of the club’s financial reach.

Diario Sport reckon that Flick is also a big fan of the Brazilian, and the report reckons Guimaraes wants out of Newcastle and has always dreamed of Barcelona.

It’s not clear how much truth there is in that claim, but there is a general feeling Newcastle may have to make a big sale this summer to comply with FFP rules.

As for Barcelona, we’re still no closer to knowing how much the club have to spend this summer and whether they can raise the €100m or so needed by the end of the month to balance the books.
